The House Project

This had been an ongoing concern for a couple of years. We have driven up and down Thailand looking for a suitable place where we should build our home, mainly for the time when I will retire (still a long way to go, though) . In the end, we settled for Nong Prue/Bang Lamung, close to Pattaya, for various reasons...

Then, in the first week of June 2003, we took the first step and Pranom purchased the land. Its 1 Rai, 196 Tarang Wah or approximately 2400 m²

we live there mainly during the weekend, holidays and vacations and
during the week, when I am in Thailand, Pranom and myself stay in a
flat in Bangkok, whereas her parents live in the
house permanently.}

All things considered, we are very happy with our home. Below are some recent pictures of the house. We will sell it and build a new one if the right offer comes along.....

The Location - Nong Prue - its about a 10 minutes drive to downtown Pattaya and some of the beaches - Distance to Bangkok is approx. 120 km - in good conditions about a 1 hour 30 minutes drive

Unfortunately, the land beside us has been sold and somebody is building a Moo Ban (housing compound) next to us. All the beautiful trees are gone and houses are growing up there.... Ah well, such is life
here is what is happening in May 2006. They did some mechanical piling for those houses and as a consequence destroyed our pool. We have to re-tile it.
