The latest news about what I am doing in my cockpit

April 2006 One day I will get  to this again - I swear
December 2006 I swore, didn't I ?

Well, there are so many things to do.... very busy in the job and when I have time at home I like to tinker with the 'pit and - of course - fly it... Hopefully, during the end of the year period some time can be set aside for updating the web pages.

August 2008 Well yes....no change to what I said above, almost 2 years ago. Very little time to actually live a life and even less time to describe how I am doing it (living the life I mean...). But: I have made some changes on the pages. If you are interested, go and have a look.

Other things not said there:

- I need to update my computer specs (of course). I am now running less, but more powerful computers (who isn't ?).

- FSX is on my FS-Server, but most of the time I am reluctant to use it, because of performance hits. My main machine is 2.04 GHz with 2MB RAM and FS9 is running very smoothly with most sliders maxed and the number of good sceneries available (free- and payware) is still  much better than for FSX. (still get OOM errors in FS9 though)

- MATROX Th2GO (digital) has been installed for both FSX and FS9 (running 3 screens, without WideView), but I am mostly running FS9 (see above). Sometimes I have problems getting it started, since it does not have its own power supply, but after some trial cycles it will work mostly OK. In FSX the FPS are mostly simply not good enough. Maybe I will go back to WideView for FSX, don't know yet.

November 2009 I have taken the sales stuff off-line. I have no time and this leads nowhere.

Nowadays I am only flying FSX, have become used to it and the scenery is of course better than FS9. Spent a lot of money on sceneries already.

Went back to Wideview because running 3 views in FSX was taking away too many frames in FSX. Its running well, weather get synchronized satisfactorily, the only thing missing is AI traffic.

A big event is coming up: I will finally get my TQ (see  here). I am planning to fly to Perth to pick it up - can't wait ! This will probably mean that I will rebuild the pedestal for the 3rd and (hopefully) last time.
